Dan Gutstein

AFTERNOON

The Great Blue is
a stripe of water
above water—Ponding—

Crisscross of raincolor minnows
at the Great Blue’s feet—
Pattern of revolution—Fabric—

Until the Great Blue lifts—
Coarse through coarse—
Beside the plate girder bridge—
